19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player secured his first championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has experienced a difficult year, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after that period of that year.
The win also indicates he has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my children at once, so to win a title is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led commentators to question if his ability to perform at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional championship, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial chances in a close deciding set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
